Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will deliver all aspects of existing and new conditions of terrains like cut and fill, elevation points and surfaces representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing construction documents (plans, specifications, and addenda) to understand project requirements.
- Creation of surface levels
- Interpretation of elevation points
- Calculation of cut and fill material take offs
- Contribute to a high quality of service and deliverables.
- Create quotations based on take offs performed
- Creation and placement of contour lines
- Cost estimation planning
- Effective communication with the client.
- Management of formats given by the client.
- Management and design of workflows
Technical knowledge & skills required
- Advanced English Knowledge: upper intermediate, advanced or proficient.
- Strong and verifiable engineering background and experience.
- Strong Team Management background and experience: At least three years of experience in the field, working with clients and managing teams.
- Survey and topography knowledge (medium-high)
- Advanced reading and understanding of specialized survey drawings.

- Manage the day-to-day workflow and output of the department, prioritizing and assigning projects.
- Provide guidance and leadership on projects; create additional training and development as needed.
- Oversee the performance evaluation process to ensure that it has been conducted in a timely and constructive.
- Establish a work order process through which design consultation can occur, specifications can be collected, and projects can be assigned and prioritized.
- Calculate project time & budget estimates based on materials and resources required; maintain a system for recurring or standard projects.
- Ensure finished projects align with customer and project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal sales and marketing departments, clients, and vendors to ensure all expectations are sufficiently met.
- Assist team members with projects as needed.
- Perform any other job-related duties as required.

Work Environment

- You will work with a medium-sized and quickly growing team, which will include engineering departments and administrative departments.

- You will be required to comply to work on Mountain Standard Time (MST), which means that we require availability from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm MST.
